FUN is Better

They say "done is better than perfect," and most days I wholeheartedly agree. It's even the title of one of my chapters in NEAT. But today I would like to elevate that thought with a new mantra: "Fun Is Better Than Perfect!" Life isn't a checklist. Life isn't about just getting stuff done and moving on. There are precious moments that are meant to be savored and truly enjoyed. And if we could get into the habit of finding those moments in each and every day, our happiness would multiply a thousand-fold. That's because, in those moments of fun, abandon, enjoyment, indulgence, we are truly living! Let's stop worrying about presentation and achievement long enough today to wipe frosting all over our faces and revel in the sweet, laughter-filled bliss of just being alive.
